The Kamado Joe Classic Joe III packs Kamado Joe’s most advanced cooking technology into the classic 18-inch format. Its 1.25-inch thick ceramic shell locks in heat, smoke, and moisture across a 225–750°F range, while the included SlōRoller hyperbolic insert transforms it into a serious smoker — surrounding food in rolling, recirculating waves of smoke for deeper flavor and dramatically fewer hot spots.

Add the 3-Tier Divide & Conquer® system, Kontrol Tower top vent, and Air Lift hinge, and this is kamado cooking with the friction engineered out.

SlōRoller Hyperbolic Smoke Chamber

Born from airflow research by Harvard scientists, the SlōRoller distributes smoke and heat in rolling, recirculating waves throughout the chamber — clouds of smoke around the food, even heat across the grate. Use it for low-and-slow cooks up to 500°F, then swap in the included ceramic heat deflectors for high-heat grilling and searing.

3-Tier Divide & Conquer® Cooking System

The multi-level, half-moon rack design cooks different foods in different styles at different temperatures — all at once.

The included two half-moon stainless grates cover 250 sq in of primary cooking space, and the 3-tier rack accepts additional grates and surfaces (sold separately) to expand capacity up to 510 sq in.

Kontrol Tower™ Top Vent

The powder-coated cast aluminum, dual-adjustment vent holds its exact air setting even as you open and close the dome — precise, repeatable temperature control from a 225°F smoke to a 750°F sear, with rust and mold resistance built in.

Air Lift™ Hinge

Reduces the dome’s effective weight by about 96% — the heavy ceramic lid rises with a fingertip and stays where you put it.

Easy Fire, Easy Cleanup

The 304 stainless steel charcoal basket sifts ash from unused lump with a quick shake — saving charcoal for the next cook — while the slide-out stainless ash drawer empties in seconds. A double-thick wire-mesh fiberglass gasket keeps the seal airtight for years of consistent burns.
