At M-W Containers, customer satisfaction is our priority. Please review our Refund & Return Policy carefully before placing your order.
General Return Eligibility
Due to the size, transportation, and handling requirements of shipping containers and related equipment, returns are limited and subject to approval.
A return may be considered only if:
- The return request is submitted within 7 calendar days of delivery.
- The product is unused, unmodified, and in its original delivered condition.
- The product has not been relocated, altered, or installed.
Returns requested after the eligibility period cannot be accepted.
Non-Returnable Items
The following products cannot be returned unless they arrive damaged or defective:
- Custom-built or modified containers
- Refrigerated containers that have been powered or commissioned
- Containers sold as AS-IS or Project Grade
- Trailers, chassis, and handling equipment after delivery
- Accessories that have been installed or used
These exclusions exist due to safety, certification, and resale limitations.
Return Authorization Process
All returns require prior written authorization.
To request a return:
- Contact our support team within the eligible return period.
- Provide your order information and clear photographs of the product.
- Wait for return approval and shipping instructions before sending the item back.
Unauthorized returns will not be accepted.
Return Shipping & Handling Costs
- Customers are responsible for all return shipping costs.
- Original shipping charges are non-refundable.
- Returns must be shipped using approved freight methods.
Because shipping containers require specialized transportation, return freight charges may be significant.
Restocking & Inspection Fees
Approved returns may be subject to:
- Restocking fees of up to 15%.
- Inspection and handling charges where applicable.
Products returned with damage, excessive wear, missing components, or unauthorized modifications may receive reduced refunds or be rejected.
Refund Processing
Once an approved return has been received and inspected:
- Refunds are processed within 5–10 business days.
- Refunds are issued using the original payment method.
- Applicable deductions, including shipping, restocking, or damage charges, will be itemized.
Refunds are issued only after inspection confirms the product qualifies for return.
Damaged or Defective Items
Shipping Damage
Please inspect your order before signing the delivery receipt.
If visible damage is present:
- Record the damage on the delivery paperwork.
- Refuse delivery if the damage makes the product unusable.
- Notify our support team immediately.
Failure to report visible shipping damage at the time of delivery may limit available claim options.
Defective Products
If your product is found to be defective:
- Notify us within 7 days of delivery.
- Do not use or modify the product.
- We will evaluate repair, replacement, or refund options where applicable.
Manufacturer Warranty
- New products include applicable manufacturer warranties.
- Used or refurbished products may include limited functional warranties.
- Warranty coverage does not include misuse, unauthorized modifications, accidental damage, or normal wear and tear.
Warranty claims will be handled in accordance with the manufacturer’s warranty terms.
Order Cancellations
- Orders canceled before shipment may qualify for a refund, less applicable administrative fees.
- Orders canceled after freight has been dispatched are non-refundable.
Important Information
- Freight deliveries cannot be returned in the same manner as standard parcel shipments.
- Missed delivery appointments or inaccessible delivery locations may result in additional charges.
- Refunds are not provided for changes of mind after delivery has been completed.
